Job Summary The HRA Assistant position is responsible for conducting health risk assessments, data entry, and production of reports for the purpose of stratifying risk for members of VIVA Health Special Needs Plans. The position interacts with a variety of internal and external clients including members, caregivers, health care executives, physicians, and provider office personnel. This position requires high level interpersonal skills. This person must possess the ability to make sound choices independently and be able to interpret guidelines to ensure that established standards for assigned projects are complied with.
Qualifications High School education required, 2 to 3 years college experience preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. 3-5 years experience in clinical quality assessment and/or database management. A high level of skill in the PowerSTEPP and DST computer system is a plus. Proficiency with computer software, including MS Excel, MS Word and MS Access is essential. Experience in analyzing data, graphing reports from analysis, and designing, creating and maintaining databases required. Must be able to compose large quantities of correspondence with minimal supervision and handle multiple assignments. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines required. Must possess willingness to function both independently and as a team member. Knowledge of community resources, and Medicare regulations preferred. State of Alabama Driver’s license in good standing required. Proof of automobile insurance required.
Physical Qualifications This position may be required to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Requires reliable transportation and willingness and ability to travel. Must be able to work under pressure from deadlines and goals.
